Chelsea will take to the field at Swansea knowing the outcome of the Liverpool and Manchester City game. An Anfield draw would give Chelsea the opportunity to go level on points with Liverpool and four clear of Manchester City, though Mourinho would, of course, be quick to point out that City still have two games in hand.

Oscar last night brushed aside speculation linking him with this week’s Champions League opponents Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian insisted that he wants to become a Chelsea legend, like former Chelsea player Didier Drogba. 

He said: “Didier has always been my idol. 

“Now I am wearing the same jersey he used to have. I am writing my own Chelsea story.”
